Committee Members: Emily Grorud, Samantha Kubly, and Claire Matejka.

This committee manages, coordinates and organizes the HUGS program with area hospitals. HUGS currently supports SSM Health St Mary's Hospital Madison, Unity Point Health Meriter Madison, and Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI.

​Some of our activities include:

• Maintaining relationships with hospital bereavement teams.
• ​Providing training and resources as needed to volunteers, hospital teams, and community organizations.
• Being a coordinator on-call to receive calls from the hospitals.
• Acting as a liaison among families, volunteers, hospitals and clinics as necessary
• Tracking HUGS families for one year.
• Managing 13 month followup calls with families.
• Managing family gift inventories and distribution to volunteers.
• Maintaining print resources and distribution.
• ​Maintaining ongoing relationships with donors to the HUGS program.
• Identify and schedule ongoing support opportunities for volunteers.
• Recruiting new volunteers.
• Reviewing volunteers annually.
